Oysters. Lots of oysters.
For lunch on Thursday, Tim took me out to Swan's Oyster Depot on Polk Street. It was an amazing meal, one that I'm most likely not going to find where I'm going. I didn't think I liked clam chowder, but this stuff was amazing. The oysters were top-notch too.
After a very hectic day of hustling and packing with the help of Deb, Trent, and D, we managed to get everything together and get my whole room put away in boxes.
When I got to the airport, I had a bit of time, so I decided to eat some more oysters at the airport bar. Almost as good as the ones earlier, but not quite.
Watched Australia on the plane. It was aaiiiiiight, but not as good as I thought it would be. The little kid kind of annoyed me. Still better than Pearl Harbor though, so I guess that's a point for the Aussies.
Now I'm here in DC, in bed next to Tyler the Dog, who was very excited to see me. So excited that while we were out to dinner, he stole my granola bar and ate it. I came home and he had his head down-immediate sign that something forbidden had been eaten by him.
Dinner tonight was...oysters! We went to a famous Silver Spring seafood restaurant and I had more oysters. These were definitely not of the same caliber as the San Francisco, but they were still tasty with a little lime and Tabasco.
Tomorrow one of Dad and Margo's friends is having a party here and there will be a lot of people around! Hopefully I can get everything ready by the time people start arriving for my journey to New York and then to Israel. That way, I'll have no stress when it's time to get on the Vamoose bus on Sunday morning.
See you in New York!
